Tummy Tuck

A Tummy Tuck, (also known as abdominoplasty), is a procedure offered to patients seeking to reshape their midsection. A tummy tuck tightens muscles and removes excess fat and skin to achieve a smooth, flat, and youthful abdomen. During your consultation, Dr. Arledge will determine if you are a suitable candidate for a tummy tuck.

You may be a candidate for a tummy tuck if:

  • You want your pre-pregnancy tummy back
  • You are embarrassed about your midsection despite diet & exercise
  • You want to remove the stretch marks on your abdomen
  • You have had significant weight loss
  • You are interested in the tummy tuck as part of your Mommy Makeover

Arm Lift

An arm lift, (also known as brachioplasty), can help to remove loose, excess skin, and stubborn localized upper arm fat. Dr. Arledge can help you achieve a sleeker upper arm contour, so you can wave goodbye to flabby arms. Consistently following a healthy diet and engaging in aerobic exercise can help reduce a person’s overall body fat percentage. Along the same lines, frequently performing strength-building exercises can improve muscle tone. If you find your upper arm shape is still not what you want after making appropriate nutritional and lifestyle changes, you may be a candidate for an arm lift.

You may be a candidate for an arm lift if:

  • You are dissatisfied with your upper arm
  • You have poor skin elasticity
  • You have excess upper arm skin
  • You have excess upper arm fat
  • You seek a firmer, more contoured upper arm

Thigh Lift

A thigh lift, (also known as thighplasty) is a procedure that contours the thighs by removing excess skin and fat. As we age, the quality of our collagen and elastin declines. When this occurs, our skin starts to lose elasticity, which leads to the appearance of loose, sagging skin. Major fluctuations in weight or certain hereditary factors can compound this issue.

A thigh lift can help restore your thighs to a more pleasing appearance. Dr. Arledge’s goal in performing thigh lift is the removal of excess skin and stubborn localized fat deposits while repairing the supporting tissue structures, which results in a sleeker thigh contour.

You may be a candidate for a thigh lift if:

  • You are dissatisfied with the look of your thigh area
  • You have excess skin in your thigh area
  • You shy away from wearing shorts or exposing your legs
  • You are uncomfortable sitting in certain circumstances due to excess thigh skin
  • You can't achieve the aesthetic look you desire from diet & exercise alone

Buttock Contouring

Dr. Arledge frequently hears her patients express their desire for a fuller and/or more lifted derrière. Perhaps a flat posterior is genetic and you want to enhance its volume and shape. Maybe you are content with the volume you have but are unhappy because of sagging buttocks. Whatever your reason, Dr. Arledge can offer you surgical buttock enhancement to address your concerns. A buttock augmentation (through fat transfer) and a buttock lift can be performed separately or together for optimum aesthetic results.

Buttock contouring through fat transfer, commonly referred to as a Brazilian Butt Lift, uses fat harvested from another area of your body that has an ample amount of unwanted fat. That fat is then transferred to the buttocks. Buttock contouring may also require the removal of excess skin and can be performed at the same time as the fat transfer. These techniques allow Dr. Arledge to tailor the procedure to achieve your desired shape and perhaps even sculpt another area of your body. You and Dr. Arledge will formulate your personalized plan during your consultation.

You may be a candidate for Buttock Contouring if:

  • You would like to enhance your silhouette
  • You would like to even out your body proportions
  • You would like to contour your hip dips
  • You would like to lift your buttock
  • You like the volume of your buttock, but desire a higher, perkier appearance

Labiaplasty

Dr. Arledge understands some patients may feel hesitant to discuss the appearance and function of their external genitalia. As with any aspect of your body, she wants you to feel as comfortable as possible when you discuss your concerns and goals with her. She will work with you to create a plastic surgery treatment plan that encourages confidence, comfort, and strives for natural-looking, aesthetic results.

You may be a candidate for labiaplasty and clitoral hoodectomy, if:

  • You experience chafing and irritation when the enlarged labia rub against snug-fitting clothing and/or certain exercise equipment, such as a bicycle
  • You experience pain or discomfort during sexual intercourse due to enlarged labia
  • You dislike the look, size, length, or asymmetrical nature of your labia and would like to correct their aesthetic appearance
  • You experienced a tear or other trauma in the external vaginal area, perhaps during childbirth, and have lost sexual sensation or muscle strength as a result
  • You want to include labiaplasty as part of your mommy makeover
  • You want to reduce the size of your clitoral hood to improve clitoral sensitivity during sexual intercourse

There are two different types of enhancement surgeries that Dr. Arledge performs:

1. Labiaplasty - Labiaplasty is a type of vaginal rejuvenation in which excess labial tissue is eliminated to improve aesthetics and reduce the physical discomfort often associated with enlarged labia. The size and shape of the labia are usually determined through heredity. However, aging, pregnancy, fluctuations in weight, and certain medications (such as hormones) can all cause your labia to change over time. This can leave you feeling shy or embarrassed about your intimate appearance.

2. Clitoral Hoodectomy - An enlarged clitoral hood can decrease sensation when having sex. A clitoral hoodectomy is designed to reduce the size of the clitoral hood and improve your sensation. Typically, patients who seek to have a clitoral hoodectomy choose to have this procedure done at the same time as their labiaplasty.
